Tips for downloading and viewing.

NOTE: these ZIP files contain TIF (TAGGED IMAGE FILE FORMAT) files. The name of the TIF file will be similar to the ZIP filename. Such as ANDREW.ZIP will have ANDREW.TIF in it.
Click on the file you wish to download
Save the ZIP file to a temporary or holding folder.
UNZIP the file.
Double click on the unzipped TIF file to view.
You can trash the ZIP file after you have saved the TIF file to a folder.
Programs I use to accomplish these tasks : PaintshopPro and winzip95
Use the ZOOM feature to read the land grant in PaintshopPro, other image viewer programs may work better, I just happen to have PaintshopPro.
These land grant files print very well.

First six generations in a Microsoft Works file named 3genera.wps for easy printing. Or you can have it as a plain TXT (TEXT) file, the name of the file will be 3genera.txt .

George Peter Reedy's land grant for 122 acres in Montgomery County Virginia, issued 25 Jan, 1782. This ZIP will contain two (2) files, since this land grant was on two (2) pages of the record book.The record begins on page 55 and continues on page 56. Filename is: gpeter.zip

Abram Reedy's land grant for 71 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 2 November, 1857. Filename is: abram.zip

Andrew Reedy's land grant for 156 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 31 October, 1844. Filename is: andrew.zip

Christopher Reedy's land grant for 30 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 13 July, 1828 and for 140 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 13 June, 1846. This file contains two (2) land grants. Filename is: chris.zip

Fredrick Reedy's land grant for 12 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 31 August, 1850. Filename is: fred.zip

Issac Reedy's land grant for 38 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 2 April, 1855. Filename is: issac.zip

Jackson Reedy's land grant for 50 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 2 November, 1857. Filename is: jackson.zip

Fredrick and Jesse Reedy's land grant for 49 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 2 April, 1855. Filename is: jesse.zip

John Reedy's land grants for 16 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 15 December, 1875 to John and Elizabeth. The other two (2) grants are for 90 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 1 January, 1875 and 120 acres in Grayson County Virginia, issued 13 September, 1841 This file contains three (3) land grants. Filename is: john.zip
