According to E.N. Reedy, Wilborn fought in the Civil War on the Union side, against his brothers who fought in the Conferderate Army. He was wounded during the war and came home for awhile, but later returned to the Union Army. He never came home again. He and Thursey had four daughters and resided near Paintsville, KY.

Wilborn REEDY and Thursey Ann LONG were married on 13 Jul 1868 in Johnson County, KY.¹¹⁰ Thursey Ann LONG¹¹⁰ (daughter of Joel LONG and Nancy VANOVER) was born about 1849. She was the daughter of Joel and Nancy (Vanover) Long. She and Wilborn had four daughters. Wilborn REEDY and Thursey Ann LONG had the following children:
